Lagoa do Fogo (Lake of Fire) is one of the main tourist attractions. It is an untouched crater lake. I think that the name may be from the lake having warm water, but we didn't find out as you can't easily get to the water itself. There are a couple of geothermal electric plants on the slopes of the mountain and a warm stream shown later.
